"To glorify God by helping students discover a real and personal relationship with Jesus Christ; to explore and grow in our faith together and seek out God's work and plan for our lives."
power, sex, money, time: four common obstacles in life
Sundays Feb 28, Mar 7, Mar 14, Mar 21: 5:00-7:00 pm (dinner provided at 5:00 pm)
Power, sex, money, time: They are obstacles that we all encounter.
As part of our Taste of Lent ministry, Kevin Koske and Mariah Wright will be teaching on the areas of power, sex, money, and time. This series on the things that can trip us up if Christ is not our center will take us through the bulk of Lent. Lent can be a time of reflection and refocus. Join us as we reflect on these big topics and how we respond as followers of Christ. Our time will include a meal, games, teaching, and break-out activities for middle and high school students. Join us for this important series.

In 2008 storms devastated Iowa, beginning with the tornado of May 25, 2008. On June 5, 2008 torrential rains began to swell the state’s rivers and cause reservoirs to overflow. By June 14 major cities were under water, levees had given way, nearly all of the 99 counties were declared state disaster areas and 18 were declared federal disaster areas. The flooding in Iowa was called the worst situation since Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast. We will be helping to rebuild Cedar Rapids this summer by working with UMCOR (United Methodist Committee On Relief).
We will be driving from Granville to Cedar Rapids, IA in passenger vans and staying at a local church in Cedar Rapids for the duration of the trip. Our team will have access to kitchen and shower facilities for the week.
