I am the lead pastor at Centenary, where, along with a great team of staff and laity, I am delighted to be serving Christ in this unique congregation and community.  I previously served as Minister to Youth and Young Adults at Trinity UMC in Columbus, Ohio for five years, and as the pastor at Jerome UMC near Dublin, Ohio for 10 years.

Natives of the Buckeye State, my wife, Emily - a Nurse Practitioner at Licking Memorial Pediatrics - and I, along with our two children, Kevin and Laura, moved to Granville in 1996.  At the time, our children were in 2^nd grade and Kindergarten.  Now, Kevin is a junior at Ohio Northern University majoring in Computer Engineering, and Laura is a freshman at Vanderbilt University studying English and French.  Emily and I will celebrate our 25^th wedding anniversary in the coming year!

My desire as a pastor is to bring renewal to the United Methodist Church.  I strive to do this by helping people of all ages become aware of the living Spirit of Jesus Christ, grow and develop a relationship with God through Christ, and then find where God is leading them to share Christ with others, using the gifts, passions, and abilities God has given them to make a difference in other people’s lives.

I am a graduate of West Virginia University and Asbury Theological Seminary.  I enjoy playing softball and basketball with the guys at the church.  I enjoy following high school, college, and professional sports - Go Blue Aces, Bucks, Bengals, Reds, and Mountaineers!  I like to spend time outdoors hiking, biking, and backpacking.  I enjoy seeing classic tractors and cars - especially Studebakers!   Most of all I love my family and enjoy spending time with them.  And, if I can find a little time this year, I hope to once again pick up my guitar and play a few songs.
